What is I-CORT?

I-CORT is the Intensive Community Outreach and Recovery Program at Singing River Services. The I-CORT team is a recovery and resiliency oriented, intensive, community-based rehabilitation and outreach service for adults with a severe and persistent mental illness.

I-CORT uses a team-oriented approach to mental health rehabilitation, intervention, and support necessary to assist people in achieving and maintaining rehabilitative, resiliency, and recovery goals.

How can I-CORT help?

I-CORT services are provided primarily in natural settings and are delivered face to face, by phone or video conference with the people and their family/significant other as appropriate, to the primary well-being and benefit of the recipient. I-CORT assists in the setting and attaining of individually defined recovery/resiliency goals.

The primary treatment objective of I-CORT is to assist in keeping the people receiving the service in the community in which they live, avoiding placement in the state operated behavioral health programs.

Who makes up the I-CORT team?

The I-CORT team is staffed with a Master’s level Mental Health Therapist, Mental Health Nurse, and a Community Support Specialist.
